At Cycle Monkey, we live and breathe bikes—we love to ride them, work on them, and talk about them, from road to mountain and everything in between. We strive to build bikes that inspire riders to just go out and ride. Just wake up in the morning, grab a helmet, and go. That's our kind of riding. We have a strong belief that internal shifting is a smarter way to change gears - it's certainly the most durable and reliable - and this belief influences many of our decisions in selecting brand partners and how we approach bikes in general. We work with brands that design for high reliability, low maintenance, and that feeling of independence.
Cycle Monkey distributes everything from specialized components like the Rohloff SPEEDHUB 500/14 and Gates Carbon Drive to full bicycles from Tout Terrain and Ventana USA. We offer in-house custom bike and wheel building, as well as serve as the Technical Service Center for each brand.
We are located near Sacramento, California serving customers throughout North America for high quality internal gearing products and bikes and wheels built around these systems.

About Our Experience
Cycle Monkey was started in fall of 2005 as a side project to service the suspension forks of East Bay mountain bikers. Custom wheel building was soon added both as a passion of our founder and to address the decline in the number of qualified wheelsmiths as the cycling market moves towards complete factory built wheels. Since then, our main focus has shifted to distribution of high quality, often technical, products as well as offering wheels and complete bikes built around these products. Along with providing sales of these products, we also provide technical support and warranty and repair service.
Outside the shop, we've got many thousands of real-world miles in our legs on trails and the road, from training, racing, and just having fun. All that time riding bikes, reading about bikes, and wrenching has led to the development of some proprietary products, with many more in the works.
