With the proven longer, lower, slacker GEOLUTION geometry Nicolai is known for, and a 600% gear range thanks to the Pinion system, the G13 GPI redefines what’s possible for a 130mm trail bike. It descends like an enduro bike, but retains the efficiency of something far less unwieldy.

The advantages of the Pinion gearbox and Gates Carbon Drive belt system are numerous. The elimination of a derailleur and cassette moves unsprung weight from the rear wheel to the bottom bracket, greatly increasing traction and suspension performance. And since the drivetrain is encased in a sealed unit, maintenance is virtually non-existent. Belts do not wear as quickly as chains, meaning you can spend less time working on your bike and more time riding it. By improving your ride quality while simultaneously reducing the burden of regular maintenance, Nicolai delivers a better mountain bike with their GPI series.

Frame and drivetrain combos include the Pinion P1.12 Gearbox (Black, colors available for $165 surcharge), forged crank arms (170 or 175mm), twist shifter, front and rear sprockets, and belt tensioner. Because they are entirely built-to-order, Nicolai frames are available in any color imaginable and with customized sizing and geometry.
